    1. Thank you for visiting our website, We created the site to help you buy and sell art. You can upload art you have for sale, provide a description and wait for other users to get in touch. You can also browse art that other users have for sale using our search feature.
    2. We are Theplace4Art Limited and we operate the site. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
    3. This policy (together with our terms of use) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
  2. Information about us

  3. Information we may collect from you
    1. We may collect and process the following data about you:
      1. Information that you provide by filling in forms on the site. This includes information provided at the time of uploading art, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
      2. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
      3. We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
      4. Details of your uploads to the site.
      5. Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
    2. Our services provide a platform to sell your artwork with only a commission fee to pay once it’s sold. All payment transactions are handled by PayPal, a secure payment processing provider.  Your payment details and related personal data are collected by PayPal in order to process your payment. We do not collect any payment details ourselves. More details regarding PayPal’s terms and conditions, and privacy and security policies can be found by visiting the PayPal website.
      1. When selling your art, the purchaser will pay the sum due using PayPal.  These monies will be held in our account for up to 14 Working Days to allow the purchaser to receive the goods and confirm that they are happy with the goods and the condition they were received.  After this time, the monies will be released to the seller, less our commission fee. The seller will, at this point, need to supply bank or PayPal details to us to enable us to make the payment.
  4. IP addresses and cookies
    1. We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
    2. For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Our advertisers may also use cookies, over which we have no control. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:
      1. To estimate our audience size and usage pattern.
      2. To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests.
      3. To speed up your searches.
      4. To recognise you when you return to our site.
