Artwork History

Beautiful acrylic print of multicoloured paint set free underwater by the artist Mark Mawson as part of his Fashioned from multicoloured paint set free underwater. Mark’s Aqueous series has won a multitude of awards around the world and has become highly collectable.

Working with different hues of paint at different densities, he drops them into the water to create complex kaleidoscopes of colour that he calls ‘alien’. His inspiration for creating it came from watching the milk diffuse into his morning cup of coffee.
